DEDICATED TO THE TEACHING AND PRACTICE OF BUDDHISM IN THE NYINGMA PALYUL TRADITION
We are a registered Canadian charity with two mandates: to uphold and nurture the Buddha Dharma in Canada and to support the refugee children living at Namdroling Monastery in Byla Kuppe, South India. The Ottawa Palyul Centre welcomes diversity in all its forms and offers you a safe space in which to practice and discuss the Dharma.
Vajrayana deity yoga practices are held on the 8th, 10th, 15th, 25th & 29th of the lunar month.
All English practice texts can be found here. Many are also available in Chinese, Spanish, and Greek.
Thank you for your support of our Centre and the children of Namdroling monastery. May all beings benefit!
Dear Dharma Friends,
As we come to the end of the year, we would like to thank everyone who made our recent program with Khenpo Kunsang so beneficial. And we would like to thank our Spiritual Director, Khenchen Guru for always helping us to continue on our path to enlightenment!
May your holidays be full of joy, peace, and contentment.
BOOK YOUR CALENDARS – Coming on Zoom Jan 2024
We are honoured to host Khenmo Karma Sangmo, one of the first nuns to be bestowed the Khenmo degree (Khenpo for monks) by HH Karma Kuchen Rinpoche in May 2023. She will guide us in understanding the first three of the Paramitas (“Perfections” or “transcendental actions”) that are the foundation of the Bodhisattva path – they lead the mind away from ego and towards the awakening of perfect compassion and wisdom.
All are welcome to join any session – No registration required
*CO-VID PROTOCOL – Good news! We have lifted the Co-vid protocols at the Centre. If, however, you are feeling ill, or experiencing any cold or cough symptoms, please refrain from coming to the centre. We also received teachings on the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva from Lopon Rigzin Losal and meditation practice sessions with Ani Samten Choedron. As part of our support for English language learning for the Namdroling Lopons, we hosted a 3-part teaching program by the senior Lopons.
